If you are looking for an exciting winter break, this winter of 2022-2023is a great season for enjoying classic winter weather. As we get into spring there is lots of rain that will make it beautiful this spring and summer. Many families and other groups have enjoyed their stay at the cabin because of its rustic charm. It is a classic country cabin, built in 1938 and remodeled with modern conveniences inside, shaded by tall pines, and with a covered front porch.
It is important to know that extreme weather can bring major challenges. Keep your eye on conditions and If there are unusual weather or other conditions at the cabin that could make it impossible for you to stay it is important you to know the cancellation policy (2 weeks out for full refund, 1 week out for half refund).
.Accomodations:
The back bedroom has a full bed, the inner bedroom has bunks and sofa bed can sleep 1 adult, 2 children, and the living room has queen sofa bed, and a hassock that makes into a twin bed. The living room area also has dvd player and monitor, a fully equipped kitchen. that has anything you might need - silverware, dishes, cups and mugs for 8 people, an electric stove, full fridge, and appliances like coffee and hot water makers, a blender, a hand mixer, etc.
Amenities:
We have basic internet for our guests which is sufficient for email and checking on websites, but not for streaming. There is a tv sized monitor and VCR and a collection of family videos. There's a small garden, a fun porch that's great for kids and adults (with a full sized ping pong table and a dart board). There is plenty of room outside for kids to run around in.
The cabin is all electric, powered by solar panels. We use environmentally sound cleaning products and have recycling bins. In winter the woodstove keeps the cabin cozy. In summer we have cross breezes and fans, as well as a portable air conditioner to keep it comfortable.
It is important to know that very tall people might feel cramped here because the sloped roof in the master bedroom and the bathroom may be a bit short for those over 6'3".
