Positive: Lock box situation worked well. And the location was fantastic - minutes to downtown, minutes to the marina and Atwater Beach. Walkable to the Oriental Theatre - an old favorite. Walkable to Brady Street with lots of restaurant options. I did not cook in the unit, but the kitchen was good. Shower takes a long time to heat up but when it does it is great. I was there alone and the studio was great for me. My wife probably would have preferred a more upscale place but if you are a young person looking for a fantastic location, this would work really well.
Negative: The building itself has some common area issues. The small lobby and stairwell leading to the unit are not confidence-inspiring. And the third floor unit has an air conditioner that drips on your head as you enter the building. I didn't really mind any of that, but these issues need to be addressed by the landlords.
