Casa al Castagno - This modern, detached holiday home with 145 sqm of living space and great lake views has a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious living/dining area on the ground floor. The terraces are partly covered and offer plenty of opportunities for relaxation and entertainment with two seating areas, a small sunbathing lawn, a 3-seater Jacuzzi and a pool (shared pool of the Residenza al Castagno community). 2 separate studios are located on the upper floor, each with bedroom and double bed, bathroom en suite, balcony and a gallery with additional single beds (gallery 1 with 2 single beds plus sofa bed, and gallery 2 with single room with French bed). A cot with linen is available for small children and you have exclusive use of the entire property during your stay. If you have any questions, a contact person is available on site. The equipment of the holiday home corresponds to a 4-star superior classification by the Swiss Tourism Association (STV). We have been certified as family and biker-friendly accommodation since 2018. For us, family-friendly accommodation also means that we do not charge for overnight stays by children and young people up to the age of 17. Occupancy is based on the number of adults travelling. The total number of beds available is limited to a maximum of 8 and the house has a garage with direct access to the house and a further parking space in front of the house. The keys are handed over via a key deposited in the keysafe. You can plan your arrival and departure independently of set times. Further information about the house and travel guides (hiking, recreation and culture, biking) are available in the house. For travellers with electric vehicles, an easee Home 11kW wall box, mounted in the garage, is available for charging the vehicle. So you can stay (e-)mobile even on holiday. Just 5 minutes from Vira is Piazzogna, which has retained a small village centre with restaurants and shops. The access points to the hiking trails of the Gambarogno can be reached directly from the house. Locarno and Ascona can be reached by car in 15 to 20 minutes. It is even easier to take the ferry from Magadino (only 5 minutes away by car). The weekly market in Luino is also an attraction.
