Harbour View enjoys a fantastic town centre location with the most fabulous views over Rothesay Bay, towards the Cowal Peninsula and the Ayrshire coast. A true home away from home, this modern apartment makes an excellent holiday base for small families, couples or friends to explore and enjoy the beautiful Isle of Bute. Amazing views from all the main rooms where kids and adults alike can spend hours watching the ferries come in and out as well as different sized sail boats, yachts and fishing boats arrive and depart the harbour. There’s easy access to Rothesay town centre and all the shops, bar, bistros and cafés, and to the Bute shoreline, directly below the apartment. A modern apartment, comfortably and tastefully furnished with a cosy, yet light, airy atmosphere. Stairs to the second floor lead to the spacious, comfortable, open-plan large living/dining room featuring a bay window with spectacular views. There is a large, fully fitted kitchen, the master bedroom is front facing with sea views and there is also a twin bedroom with sea views. The town of Rothesay is a charming, small coastal town on the Isle of Bute and boasts many interesting shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions. Rothesay is Bute ’s main town, and there is an excellent tourist office in the Discovery Centre, which also houses an exhibition about the Isle of Bute. Rothesay is the perfect base for exploring the Isle of Bute and it is also the main ferry port and transport hub for the island. The best way to explore the island at your own pace is by car, but for guests who do not wish to bring their car on holiday, there is a reliable bus service which travels from Kilchattan Bay at the south of the island up to Rhubodach at the north. All buses travel through the town and Rothesay. There are also buses which take you to Ettrick Bay where you can enjoy lunch or coffee at the café. During the summer season the bus service also runs to Mount Stuart house. The summer season also brings a City Sightseeing bus, which is a hop on - hop off service, that tours around the island frequently. Alternatively, bicycles can be hired at the local shop, just a few yards along from the property. Bute is only 33 miles from Glasgow and is one of the most accessible of the westerly islands from the Scottish Central Belt. 15 miles long and 5 miles across at its widest point, the island is home to many historical sites including Rothesay Castle and Mount Stuart house, beautiful gardens and walks for all abilities.
