I purchased my home in late 2017 and completed a full renovation in 2020 of the farmhouse situated directly on Long Beach Ave in York Beach, Maine. New heating system, complete new electrical system, all new paint and drywall, new front and rear decks, completely new kitchen appliances and cabinets and all new bathrooms with new tiles, toilets, and vanities, as well as impeccably re-finished original oak hardwood floors throughout the house. The house was built in 1917 and moved to it's current location in 1937. The house has amazing craftsman finishes, which I have preserved while updating to modern amenities. Linens, pillows, towels are provided
The house is 3 stories. A finished walk-out lower level which has: a full bathroom and bedroom. A main floor with: 2 decks, a living room, dinning room, brand new kitchen and half bath. A second floor with 4 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The deck on the back of the house overlooks a massive grass yard with a small view of the ocean along Long Beach Ave and has amazing sunsets. The front farmer's porch is great for morning coffee or to relax in the evening. The fire-pit in the backyard is a perfect place to sit and relax after a day full of fun. The elevated back deck is wonderful for grilling using the brand new propane grill and enjoying a dinner under the stars. My home has air-conditioning to hide from the summer heat and a large country fan in the living room providing a great breeze. The HD TVs in the living room and finished lower level provide for a relaxing area to possibly split up the adults and children for a relaxing evening. Brand new clothes washer and dryer are provided. There is also an outdoor shower under the back deck to rinse off that troublesome beach sand.
The walk to Long Sands Beach is 4 minutes, 0.2 miles. The walk to Short Sands Beach is 6 minutes, 0.4 miles.
The furniture is brand new in 2019, but respects the historic nature of the house. The front porch has double rocking chairs great for relaxing and saying hello to passers-by. The back deck has a patio dining set with umbrella and additional wood rocking chairs. The kitchen table is 10 feet long accommodating up to 14 chairs. The living room has a modern sofa sectional with chaise lounge, a love-seat, and chair for seating up to 16 people. The lower floor has another love-seat and chest of drawers along with 3 twin beds and HD TV.
