Villa Andrae is a brand new, 5-star luxury villa, designed by award winning architects and located in a quiet area on the beautiful Akrotiri peninsula, near Chania in Western Crete. The villa is just 5 minutes from beautiful sandy beaches and small coves with turquoise waters and boasts amazing mountain and sunset views across the bay of Chania and the Aegean Sea.
Sleeping 8-10 people comfortably, it includes a large solar panel-heated infinity pool, a hot tub, private tennis court, free WIFI and an indoor fitness area/playroom. It is set in a large 8000 m² plot of land with beautifully landscaped gardens and grassed lawn areas.
Villa Andrae is only a 20-minute drive from the historic Venetian city of Chania, also known as 'little Venice' and a 15-minute drive from the airport.
Ground floor
The main living area is luxuriously spacious and extends to the outside tiled patios, sunbathing terraces, sitting areas and the pool, through large, sliding window panels offering marvellous views of the landscaped gardens and the Cretan Sea. The 8-metre window with the view to the sea has been cleverly designed to completely slide open and disappear into the wall. When the doors are open, the interior room and patio areas become one large living area, great for entertaining or just relaxing.
Inside this modern interior there is a designer corner sofa, a large flat-screen smart TV, DVD Player and a dining table sitting up to 10 people.
The open-plan Italian luxury kitchen is fully equipped and has built-in microwave and oven, oversized fridge/freezer, dishwasher, a central island with high stools, hob, a downdraft extractor fan rising up from the island. A Nespresso machine, a blender and a juicer are also provided. There is a guest toilet off the main living area.
Bedrooms
The villa has 4 double bedrooms over 3 levels, 3 with en-suite bathrooms and a 4th bathroom with a large walk-in shower adjacent to the bedroom on the ground floor which can be shared with the fitness room. All 4 bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and beds with high quality Dunlopillo mattresses. On the ground floor the comfortable double bedroom has a queen-size double bed with access to a sun terrace and a view of the pool and Stavros mountain.
Next to this bedroom is a fitness room/playroom with two single sofa beds which can be made up as a double or two single beds to accommodate 2 further people. This room is equipped with a flat screen smart TV, an exercise bicycle, yoga mats and weights.
Moving upstairs a few steps from the ground floor to a mid-floor level, there is a spacious bedroom with 2 single beds which can easily be converted into a comfortable king-size double bed, with a flat screen smart TV, en-suite shower room and a private balcony overlooking the sea and White Mountains.
On the first level there are two further bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, en-suite shower room, walk-in wardrobe, luxury freestanding bath and sliding wall panel with built-in smart TV and DVD player.
The other double bedroom, located next to the master bedroom, has a queen-size double bed, and an en-suite shower room.
Each of the upstairs bedrooms has outstanding views over the sea and both have direct access to the oversize balcony and decked terrace area featuring a large hot tub overlooking the Cretan sea and offering lovely sunset views.
All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and are comfortably furnished with luxury beds, bedside cabinets, USB charging ports and bedside lighting. Hairdryers are provided in all bedrooms.
Free WiFi is available throughout the house and in all outside areas.
Built for all year-round living, the villa has full air-conditioning units in every room and under floor heating.
All windows in the villa are fitted with insect screens and have electrically operated roller shutters. Windows have been treated with sun reflective material to further reduce summer temperatures inside the villa.
Towels, including pool and beach towels are provided for all guests.
Exterior
The villa is set in fully landscaped gardens and has an attractive 70 m² heated infinity swimming pool with an additional shallow area with seating. There is an outdoor shower by the pool. The modern pergola has an outside covered dining area with seating for 10 with views over the pool to the sea and to the Stavros mountain. It features an outside kitchen area with a gas BBQ, fridge, sink and an outside toilet.
Set in the lovely landscaped gardens with flowers and trees there is a private, fenced tennis court with an asphalt playing surface. All equipment for the tennis court is supplied.
A table tennis table with equipment is also provided.
There are large sun terraces all around the villa with luxury sunbeds and designer lounge chairs available for the use of guests.
There is separate hot tub and outdoor lounge area on the first floor overlooking the Cretan sea where you can relax at the end of the day and enjoy amazing sunsets.
Basement area
The villa has a basement for parking, with remote control garage door and internal access into the house. There is a utility room with a sink, washing machine, a dryer, ironing board and iron.
Heating for the swimming pool is offered upon request and is charged by the week, even if the booking might be for fewer days.(this is turned on 3 days prior to the guest arrival, in order for the pool to be heated upon arrival)
Rates include maid service every 3-4 days
The 30% deposit is non - refundable.
The 60% also non-refundable balance is required 6 weeks prior to the arrival.
The damage deposit must be paid prior to arrival and check-in through bank wire transfer and refundable 7 days after departure minus eventual damage charges if any.
