Positive: The villa was just as the pictures advertised. It was spacious, clean & comfortable. When we arrived the Aircon in our villa (Villa A) was being repaired. We were moved to Villa D, which as it turned out had far more privacy & a stunning view. We were informed by WhatsApp message the day before the cleaning team were due, they came once a week & gave the Villa a thorough clean. The pool was cleaned every other day or so, the man just turned up over the wall at the side of the pool, got on with the job while we sat with a cup of tea watching him. Short walk down a dirt track road to the beach & 7-eleven, lovely walk in a morning along the beach. We dropped washing off on the way in the coin operated washin& machine & picked it up on the way back to the Villa. At the start of our last week the island was hit by a rain storm, it didn't last long but the power in Hin Kong & nearby Srithanu went down. The power came back on briefly then went again. It later became clear that Srithanu's power was back on but not all of Hin Kong. I messaged to say our power was out, they came out to look into it & called the power company to come & repair the broken power lines. It took until about 10pm to finally get power back on. Our WIFI didn't come back on, that took a couple of days but wasn't really an issue just meant we couldn't use the TV at night. It very quickly felt like home.
Negative: The patio door to the terrace from the main room didn't lock, however, after a few days we forgot about that & realised it wasn't so much of an issue. The ensuite bathroom in the bedroom just off the living room didn't have a towel rail, I had to hang the towel through the door handle while having a shower, there was also nowhere to store soap & shampoo while in the shower. The other ensuite did have a rail & shelf for soap etc.. Nowhere to dry washing, we bought a clothes horse from Big C & gifted it to family living on the Island after our stay. We bought a dustpan, unfortunately the cleaning staff took it on the 2nd week, obviously believing it to be theirs. We managed to park outside our villa but the dirt track took some navigating by car, it made for a fun drive but could be costly if misjudged the deep hole. There was no lighting on the road at night, so take or buy a torch.
