Glebe Cottage is a spacious 3 bedroom holiday home tucked away in the heart of the market town of Crewkerne. Formerly the servant’s quarters to the Manor House adjacent, it was beautifully renovated in 2017 to provide welcoming and comfortable accommodation, perfect for friends or families holidaying together. Upon entering through the electric gates into the grounds of the manor, hidden around the corner is Glebe Cottage with ample parking and a lawned garden. Inside you have the living room with large comfortable sofas (one being a sofa bed), perfect for chilling out, watching a film or playing games after a hard day exploring the area. Off the hallway is the dining room which leads on to the well equipped kitchen, with a door leading to a decked seating area. Upstairs is a large master bedroom with a gorgeous superking four poster bed and en-suite shower room, the second bedroom also features a beautiful four poster kingsize bed, while bedroom three has a single. On this floor you will also find the modern family bathroom that has a bath with shower over. The whole cottage has a large and spacious feel to it, making it perfect for short and long stays.
Glebe Cottage is ideally situated with views of the surrounding countryside, and only a 2 minute walk to Crewkerne town centre where there are many bars and restaurants. The buildings are of architectural interest with the main streets having many period houses, and Crewkerne is famous for its many antique and book shops. A local museum shows the town’s fascinating history of being linked with the Battle of Trafalgar.
The famous Jurassic coast town of Lyme Regis where you can collect fossils is just over 16 miles away. Visit historic Montacute House, Barrington Court, Tintinhull Gardens, Ham Hill and Perry’s Cider Mill, all within 8 miles. For nature lovers, there are many walking trails around Crewkerne. The cottage is situated close to the railway station, for those who wish to leave the car behind, there is an excellent taxi service that can be arranged. Beach 16½ miles.
