A door leads through to the large dining room, with polished wood table and chairs, seating up to 10 guests with ease. The main living room has deep leather sofas and chairs, set around a welcoming open fireplace. The views from all rooms are simply stunning: open hillside, sea, hills and heather surround the property. A wide sweeping staircase leads up to the spacious landing. There are five beautifully presented bedrooms on this floor. Outside there is a log store and drying room which also provides additional storage for bicycles. The open gardens are mainly grassed, with paths leading out into open countryside, where guests are free to wander, hill climb or just sit beside a nearby loch and enjoy the scenery. Deer are regular visitors to the gardens and grounds. Whilst quiet and totally secluded, it is just a ¼ mile from the thriving coastal village of Lochinver, on Scotland’s renowned west coast and now part of the North Coast 500 route. There is a variety of restaurants, shops and local facilities in the village. There are numerous unspoilt beaches close by and plenty of outdoor activities. Hill-walking, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking or climbing are all enjoyed locally. Salmon and trout fishing can be arranged on local rivers and lochs on a first come first served basis, by contacting or calling in at the Inver Lodge Hotel. For wildlife enthusiasts, seals and otters are regularly spotted and the nearby island of Handa is renowned for its bird life, including puffins and great skuas.
