The famous village of Slad, immortalised by the author Laurie Lee, is just minutes away. For walkers, there are many footpaths and the Cotswold Way is within a short drive. Bohemian Stroud has an array of independent shops and the surrounding Golden Valleys are an attractive location from which to explore the western Cotswolds. Regency Cheltenham, 8 miles, has boutique shopping, Cheltenham Racecourse and world-famous jazz and literary festivals.
