STAY RIGHT IN JACKSON HOLE (don't drive over mountain passes and through long canyons to get to Jackson - stay in the heart of the southern Jackson Hole Valley - we are 5 miles south of downtown Jackson and 3 miles up in the foothills ) There will be road construction between Jackson and Wilson in summer 2023 - WE ARE NOT IN THE WILSON BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AREA and you won't have traffic jams getting to or from the house - there is a nice 5 lane highway to our neighborhood road.
HIKE out the back door onto national forest, walk or run on the neighborhood trails, mountain bike the classic Game Creek and Cache Creek trail system which starts just 1.5 miles downhill (down the neighborhood road) from the house.
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE? In the Mountains? Near National Parks? near a river? with views and trails? with wildlife around?
Enjoy morning coffee overlooking the Snake River plain and the mountains encircling Jackson Hole or watch lightening dance across the distant peaks when there's a thunderstorm or watch the deer, fox, coyotes, elk, and moose that live in the neighborhood.
EXERCISE? YES! Hike out the back door onto national forest. Walk or run on the neighborhood trails and roads. Mountain Bike or run or walk on the Game Creek to Cache Creek Trail system which starts just 1.5 miles downhill / down the road from the house.

LAUGHING TROUT LODGE on private 4 acres just 5 miles south of Jackson near national forest: in the summer - great mountain biking, trail running, hiking, and a paved bikepath into downtown Jackson or Grand Teton Natl Park. Also just a 3 miles from the Snake River for flyfishing & a boat launch. In the winter: groomed trail for nordic skiing and snow biking, and both sledding & a snowshoe trails are out the back door of the house.

We designed and built our mountain home to take advantage of stunning mountain views and nestled it in a field of wildflowers between an Aspen grove and a pine forest.
Our five bedroom home has beds for 10 people. It's conveniently located just 5 miles south of Jackson, and 3 miles back in the foothills. Wildlife and trails onto the national forest surround the home. There is an old tree fort for kids to play on in the summer.
We live just 5 miles south of Jackson, with a great trail for mountain biking or trail running all the way up the Game Creek to Cache Creek Divide into the town of Jackson, or up west Game Creek to Snow King Mountain. There is a paved bikepath that runs from our neighborhood road all the way to Teton Village or Jenny Lake in Grand Teton Natl Park. Tremendous road biking or mountain biking if you bring your "toys" to play! You can also just hike uphill from our house onto the national forest and the top of our hill for spectacular views from the Grand Teton to Teton Pass and south to the Snake River Range. It really is amazing at the top of the hill, you can see mountains in every direction. There are also two other established trails in our neighborhood for gentler hikes.
We have a full raspberry patch that is usually ripening in early to mid August. If the deer don't get it first - you are welcome to cut your own fresh greens for salads, pick carrots, cucumbers, or snowpeas, or just enjoy a few raspberries on your morning cereal.
The master bedroom is upstairs, with a queen bed & bathroom, there is a small guest room near it for kids with a bunk bed. The main floor of the house is full of picture windows looking out on the mountain range across the valley, the Snake River, and the rolling foothills. The main floor has a large living room, with a soapstone wood stove fireplace in it. There is large gourmet kitchen, open dining nook with windows to watch for the wild animals, and an additional guest room with a queen bed. There is also a 2 car garage, a washer/dryer, mudroom, and a full bathroom on the main floor. The lower level of the house has two guest rooms (one with a queen bed & one with a bunkbed setup and two twin beds), a full shared bathroom, and a family room area. The guest room has a barn door/slider into the bunk room making it ideal for parents & kids.
Wildfires are a big risk living in the woods so PLEASE NO SMOKING, your security deposit will be forfeited if any evidence of smoking is found and your lease will be terminated immediately.
We'd love to have you visit, please come for a month! (or at least a few weeks- there's so much to do here)
Pamper yourself- we've got luxury linens and towels throughout the home. In addition to the cheerful quilts, if you'd like something more subtle or warmer- we've got nice plain solid comforters in each room and cozy flannels (if you'd like) for the winter months too!
There is a guest house on the north edge of the property where we live now - the main home has been rented for the last two years. We're available if questions or problems come up, but we don't want to intrude on your vacation and do our best to keep out of the way. You can only see the guest house from outside the garage - we do our best NOT to impact your stay or vacation in anyway but are onsite if you need anything.
NEED MORE SPACE? Ask about renting our guest house additionally or we have a friend with a 2 BR House on our road who will rent out to additional guests if you need more - ANOTHER HOUSE.
