Not only that, on the other side of the area, the Nötholmen nature reserve expands with nice hiking trails, running paths, beaches and at the top of the island there is a barbecue hut where you can hike, grill and watch the sun go down in the northwest. From the area you can easily get on to the central parts of Strömstad via a cable car that goes over the salt water of Bojarkilen. Strömstads GK golf course is within walking distance beyond the parking garage.
