More peaceful, learn about pastoralism and enjoy a farm picnic on the Beille plateau. And don't forget horse riding at the Bésines stud farm with the famous Mérens horses. In the evening, the campsite proposes you thematic animations, in all friendliness : ariégeois meals, barbecues, storytelling evenings, slide shows...

Discover the Nordic plateau of Beille with its 70 km of marked out tracks prepared for the different practices of cross-country skiing (classic technique and skating), its 2 snowshoeing itineraries, its pedestrian tracks and sledging. Do you want to hike in nature ? At 600 m of altitude, Le Pas de l'Ours welcomes you at the foot of the Aston massif. Real base camp located in edge of torrent, it allows you an immediate access to the wild valley of Aston with its 15 000 hectares of preserved spaces, its 30 lakes, its prestigious and transpyrénéen GR 10, its multiple paths of HRP. For moments of pure escape, visit the natural reserve of Orlu and its House of the Wolves (25 mn) and go to contemplate the majestic spectacle of the eagles of Lordat (20 mn). But Ariège also conceals hidden treasures : Lombrives, the largest prehistoric cave in Europe (10 mn from the campsite), the cave paintings of Niaux (20 mn), the underground river of Labouiche (40 mn).

At 25 mn from the campsite, make a wild and invigorating escape on the biggest Nordic site of the Pyrenees : the plateau of Beille. At 1800 m, this high altitude plateau, which has nothing to envy to the great spaces of the Vosges and the Jura, guarantees you snow and breathtaking landscapes ! And if you like cross-country skiing in the forest, go to the Chioula resort. For more alpine skiing, go to the Ax valleys. You are only 15 minutes away from the Ax Trois Domaines cable car where you can practice all the new glides. Without forgetting Ascou-Pailhères, the family resort.
