The ancient abbey, gracious town square and beautiful views along the River Tweed may be explored by following the town trail. Ideal for visiting the historic towns of Melrose, Jedburgh and Coldstream, while Edinburgh is only an hour by car. Home made meals, celebration dinners and housekeeping by arrangement. Shop ½ mile, pub 3 miles. There is an unfenced pond and fountain in the grounds, 9 yards from property. Enclosed garden. Up to 3 dogs only. Couples and Family bookings only. The gaps between the spindles on the staircase are more than 10cm. There is a £200 security deposit payable in cash on arrival and a fuel supplement of £100 per week, £70 per short break for winter (October to end of April) and £70 per week, £50 per short break in summer (1st May to end of September), this will be taken from the security deposit and the remainder refunded via bank transfer 1 week after departure, assuming all has been left in a satisfactory condition.
