This comfortable, self-catering apartment is set amid a tropical garden with ocean view in a quiet location five minutes' walk from Holetown, west coast of Barbados. The apartment is bright and airy with colourful fabrics, comfortable furniture, and breezy sea air and air conditioning providing a cooling breeze. There is a very well equipped kitchen so you can rustle up anything from freshly caught fish to a rum punch for sun downers. Enjoy watching humming birds feeding among the bouganvillia and monkeys scampering up trees as you relax on the balcony. Watch the most fantastic sunsets. All linen, bathroom and beach towels included. This apartment is designed to take advantage of the Caribbean climate with open areas and opening shutters however ductless air conditioning is installed for your comfort. If you need to keep in touch there is free wireless broadband access included. Holetown offers banking facilities, taxis, car rental, Internet cafe, Post Office, excellent supermarket, shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment, and has become a hot spot on the island, while remaining casual, friendly and accessible. Elegant dining, Bajan, International, pizza and fast food are all available. Surf Side is a nearby popular beach restaurant and bar that features Steel Pan nights. Buses are frequent, so if you decide not to rent a car there is no problem. To the north are art studios and popular Lime Grove with high-end stores, cafés, and a VIP cinema experience. A short walk along the beach is Folkstone Marine Park and beach, which features a museum, tennis courts, picnic tables, children's playground, gorgeous beach, and excellent, marked and self-guided snorkeling around the inshore reef. Sandy Lane and the Royal Westmoreland golf courses are also located in the parish of St. James. A unique offering of this property: professional chef homeowner offers special meals or full menus for the duration of our guests stay, featuring their favourites and local Bajan specialties (additional fees apply, please contact for details). In addition, grocery and transportation services can be arranged for our guests for a fee. We also have a complete exterior security system with cameras installed, as well as a remote-controlled front gate with perimeter fencing, and remote outdoor lighting. As is common in the Caribbean, we also have ironwork on the windows and doors for security when leaving windows open at night. We ask that our guests keep their front doors locked at night time (as we all do in a hotel) but we are in a very safe neighborhood.
