Positive: I stayed in one of the rooms directly in front of the sea. It's SO close! :) Your private patio has a BED so you can just lie there and watch and listen all day with a cool breeze :) The room itself had EXCELLENT airconditioning and was large and comfortable. Fridge in the room. Every day they leave you a large thermos of hot water to make tea and coffee throughout the day for yourself. There is also a shared patio if you wish to engage with the family or the other guests, and two loungers outside Breakfast was huge: and delicious, I usually had to save the fruit platter for later! omelet and toast, fruit platter, and a perfectly cooked banana pancake! The family is full of smiles and greetings, the nicest family I have stayed with. So much, I came back after my other homestay was over. This part of Amed is really well situated; the water is clean and clear and you can snorkel and swim right in front of the homestay. There is also a bar two minute walk away with nightly live music, and lots of warungs steps from the property. I also arranged a snorkeling trip with the family, they charge fair prices for everything! Trust in them and everything they suggest. You get a lot for your money here. One small issue, which was not a problem for me at all; much like a lot of this part of Bali, they are currently (March 12 2025) doing construction only during the day next door. I actually liked it, it gave me a feeling that I was in the real Bali, and that is what I want from a homestay. I am only saying this because if you know it will bother you, I would rather you stay somewhere else and check and not give my sweet family a bad review for something that is not their fault. :)
