3 Bedroom House in Makanda

On the wine trail and close to all the outdoor activities and lakes. Just 1.5 miles to Giant city, 15 minutes to Carbondale and SIU.
This is not a small uncomfortable rental cabin. The home is a real log and timber frame home built in 2010. With a large deck and screened sun porch you can relax and enjoy the views and sunset. 2000 square feet with 3 bedrooms, loft, full kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms. Its a rustic location but a luxury home. Sleeps 6-8 comfortably. Two Queen beds, One king bed and queen futon in the loft, can also fit two kids to sleep on the large daybed sofa. We have a fire pit and wood outside for a nice campfire.

Summary: Situated conveniently between Carbondale and Giant City State Park, this cabin was absolutely stunning. The views from the porch were breathtaking. Beautiful view of the sunset!! We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The hosts were attentive. We will absolutely be back!!
