Summary: We were there to visit family over the weekend. I have stayed at multiple AmericInn's and this one was by far the most run down. The staff were friendly so that was a plus for this hotel. Obviously since we are in MN, you will expect to smell weed in every hotel, so when my kids asked where the skunk was, I just said yeah, that is the smell some people have (luckily there wasn't anybody in the elevator at that time LOL). Room - There was hair literally everywhere, except in the sheets or on the bed - thank goodness. My husbands towel had tiny hairs and some long ones when he went to dry off from the shower. Mine had a few and I ended up using the kid's towels (thank goodness I brought them towels). Toilet paper roll holder was broken. Beds and pillows were lumpy and can use seriously updating. Breakfast - It was free, well included with the room. The toaster was broken. I let the lady know and she tried it and then shrugged like, "I don't know", She was nice though, but did not take the toaster away, which was odd as people were trying to use it after me. Pool - I felt is was very odd that they did not have the pool access door shut (right off the main lobby to) so anybody could walk in. That did not make me feel safe at all. Overall, run down and needs some serious updates. Minis the hair literally everywhere, it was okay. Kids had fun and there was a bed to sleep in and a roof over our heads.
