Positive: We wanted a self catering apartment in a central Dolomite location for our motorcycle holiday and Penia was perfect for this purpose.
Negative: The apartment is able to accommodate five people. However there was no oven to cook a decent meal. There was a hob and a microwave, but it was not adequate to cook a good meal after a long day out on the bikes. A one cup coffee pot was provided, not good enough. The accommodation was very tired and could do with a kick of paint/refurb. It was also dimly lit on the staircase and downstairs and was dull. Furniture was basic and one of the dining room chairs was broken. There were no proper chairs to sit out on the balcony. If the weather was poor, there was not enough space to accommodate five people and would not be able to cook properly. Also when we arrived the weather was cold, however Interhome (agents) would not turn the heating on. A single, small electric floor heater was provided, but not sufficient for the apartment. Beware if you arrive at the apartment late as no complimentary water, milk etc is provided. So overall, the accommodation we felt was small (photos make the accommodation appear larger than it is), was poor and not good value for money, thus quite disappointing overall.
Summary: Great location, but barely functional accommodation; disappointing overall.
