Spend your days sitting on the front or rear decks enjoying a good book and the sound of birdlife. Or take a walk. Meander along the beach to the Somers General for a great coffee or meal. Got kids, try a few of the local parks or the Koala Walk along the way. Got bigger kids or fancy a choice of cafes and shops, the bike path leads right up to Balnarring (about a 12km round trip). Somers really does provide an opportunity to switch off and enjoy a calmer, slower paced lifestyle (if you’re lucky enough you may even get the chance to swim with dolphins) and this home is quintessential Somers.
A front deck with barbeque and outdoor couches is first to welcome you. The home then opens into an open plan kitchen, dining and living area. Kitchen is simple in design, sit at the bench with a drink whilst you watch the chef make the most of gas cooking appliances (and a handy dishwasher) to prepare a meal to be enjoyed at the eight-seater dining table. Or curl up with a book on the chaise lounge under the bifold windows and enjoy the sun and the summer breeze. If you do need a little screen time, there is a TV, DVD player and a Wii. And it is Victoria so if it’s not so warm, a Coonara wood fire (or the split system) provides atmosphere and warmth.
Need more space, a little break from the kids, send them down to the second living area to do a puzzle. Or, if you’d prefer a quiet moment down there, open up the large sliding doors and take in the summer breeze. This room also opens on the rear deck where you can enjoy a meal at the bar table or grab some cushions and make yourself comfy around the fire pit.
