Our traditional 5 bedroom luxury villa has been newly renovated in 2016 to the highest modern standards. Sitting in over an acre of private walled grounds, the villa is surrounded by extensive landscaped gardens with grape vines, apple, orange, lemon, lime and olive trees. Villa Gioya is located just three minutes away from the warm Mediterranean sea and wonderful white sandy beach's. Free WIFI. The villa has been repainted and the shutters have been changed to a beautiful eggshell blue at the start of 2022.
Fully air conditioned, Villa Gioya is a spacious holiday home, boasting 5 generous double bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, three balconies and two large verandas. Comfortably sleeping ten, the extensive ground floor is open plan with a beautiful fully equipped traditional kitchen and an extensive lounge area.
Within the grounds, you have a large private swimming pool, a full-size tennis court and 5 a side football pitch, golf putting (brand new putting course installed so different from pictures), table tennis, french bowls pitch, pool table, darts and a children's play area. All the sports equipment you need is provided. The old gas BBQ has now been replaced with a traditional custom built Sardinian wood/ charcoal BBQ, considered better for authentic cooking.
There are lots of local shops and supermarkets along with many excellent restaurants within 5 minutes drive. Centrally located on the northern coast, within 5 to 30 minutes drive (and the coastline is a stunning drive) you have a wide range
of beautiful places, things to see and countless golden beaches to visit.
These wonderfully unique places include Stintino, La Pelosa Beach, Castelsardo, Asinara aka Donkey Island (with miniature albino donkeys- a gorgeous UNESCO world heritage site) Costa Paradiso, Isola Rossa, Alghero, Valledoria, Neptunes Grotto (spectacular) and much more.
There are lots of activities such as climbing, hiking, horse riding, canoeing, fishing, sailing, brilliant snorkelling, PADI diving & dive school, boat hire, dirt karts, cycling, mountain biking, wind surfing, vineyards, cooking, local markets and much more. Please be aware these pictures were taken in November 2018 and the garden will change depending on the season. In August for example it may not be as green due to the scorching effect of intense sunshine, it does recover as we head toward the winter months.
