With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, Casa Azahar sits within one of the larger (and fully walled) mature Mediterranean gardens in the quiet residential area of El Portet/Pla de Mar within walking distance to both Moraira town (including l'Ampolla beach) and the child friendly beach of el Portet.
Casa Azahar has a large fully gated and fenced swimming pool. The garden offers peace, shade and sun when and where you want it. Shade-sails, sunbeds, sofas and canopies offer many areas to relax, eat and be together. The sun-traps around the pool are furnished with loungers and parasols. The many other sun-spots have tables and chairs to take advantage of the beautiful weather we experience all year round. There is a full outside kitchen/barbecue area beside the house which looks down to the pool, as well as a fully fitted third bathroom outside which is great for when you get back from the beach, or just want to be out in the open air.
You can enjoy the selection of dining areas in the garden surrounded by a beautiful variety of Mediterranean plants, flowers and shrubs. If you like gardens then it is a riot of lavender, sage, citrus, hibiscus, agapanthus, rose and pomegranate. Of course when you decide to come determines what is flowering and what is fruiting. We do our best to keep the vegetable and herb garden going for as long as the heat allows - many herbs and vegetables (basil, tomatoes, cucumber, courgettes, chilies) manage the heat but the tenderer ones (beans, peas, leaf vegetables) pass out when the sun gets too strong. Do help yourself to what is available at the time.
Inside, the living area is open plan composed of the sitting areas kitchen & dining space - ideal for family and guest enjoyment (including a working piano, Sonos sound system, card table and games). The Naya/library provides a quiet, private area for those who may have to work or study on vacation and which has a lovely view over the pool.
The family kitchen is very well equipped with a built-in expresso machine, a 5 ring gas hob, 2 electric ovens, a large fridge freezer, dishwasher and most utensils. The house is mainly on one level with 2 modern bathrooms and four generous bedrooms (master is en-suite) all furnished with good quality linen. The lower ground level has a sizable laundry with 2 washing machines and a dryer. We have most UK and many European TV channels. the house has a high speed fibre internet connection/. Casa Azahar is fully air conditioned.
It is an easy walk down to El Portet beach (10 minutes) with its shallow , safe and pristine waters, bar and restaurants. It is a similar distance to Moraira town centre and l'Ampolla beach..
Casa Azahar is perfect for up to 8 people looking for peace and privacy and is an idyllic place to spend your holiday. Think peace, space and painting (easel, water colours and paper provided).
Fibre speed Internet and 4g mobile reception is good. Outside there is a full sized table tennis table and for your trips to the beach we equip the house with a set of beach chairs, umbrellas and towels so you can be comfortable on the sand.
During the summer there are many fiestas in Moraira, Teulada and nearby that can make your holiday that much more special - this site will help you plan your evenings (not many festivities happen during the day in summer)
The key ones are Moors and Christians which celebrates the history of the region and includes a riotously colourful parade and later is the San Juan bonfire festival on the town's main beach, when people bring picnics and celebrate the summer.
