This distinctive townhouse overlooks the West Coast of Barbados and although peaceful and quiet is a mere stones throw from the beach, local amenities, restaurants and duty free shopping. The property is a 15 minute drive from the capital city of Bridgetown and also in close proximity to the island's three brilliant golf courses Sandy Lane, Royal Westmoreland and the recently opened Apes Hill.
You are also 10 minutes away from Holetown with its colorful shops and many restaurants and bars. This townhouse is located at the end of a hillside cul-de-sac taking full advantage of the cooling trade winds and magnificent views of the West Coast.
And if you like water sports all you have to do is take the short walk down to the beach where friendly locals will assist with jet-skis, water-skiing, diving the coral reefs and even swimming with giant turtles (amazing!). Or if you prefer you can soak up the rays on the lovely roof terrace whilst watching sail boats and cruise ships travel up and down the coast.
Fitts Village is 500 yards away, Holetown is a 10 minute drive away, Speightstown another 10 minute drive and Bridgetown is 15 minutes away. Oistins and St. Lawrence Gap on the bustling south coast is 20 minutes away. It will take you a little less than an hour to get to Bathsheba or Bath on the east coast, but these beautiful villages set on the Atlantic side of Barbados are simply stunning.
The local grocery store (Jordans) is a 5 minute walk away, as is the bus that takes you up and down the coast or pretty much wherever you want to go.

Summary: As for the condo, it was perfect. It was very clean and quiet. We had entertainment in front while sitting on the balcony: monkeys jumping from one tree to the next one. However, we did not know about all the stairs going up to the pool as well as the hill to the supermarket and/or the beach. My husband is 73, sister-in-law 68 and myself 64. I did not have a problem with the stairs but the other two did. My brother and sister-in-law were supposed to join us for one week but had to cancel due to all the stairs as he has heart problems. He lost money on his airfare due to cancellation. Food is another disappointment : it is SO SO EXPENSIVE. For the three of us we spent $1,500 (Canadian) on food and we did not go overboard. We ate 5 times at a restaurant as well. The choice of fruits, vegetables and meat was limited. We did not have a car rental so we were quite far from everything we wanted to do. As well, when we got to the condo on May 1st, it was labour day in Barbados. Nothing opened for us to go shopping for food - we had a bag of chips and that is what we ate. It would have been appreciated if there had been a loaf of bread and peanut butter in the condo so we could have eaten something until we could go the next day grocery shopping. We were ready to pay for the bread and peanut butter. This is something that could be added to the cost of the condo for people arriving as it is a long day travelling.
