Summary: The beach is great and literally just over the road - which is a dead-end / cul de sac, so minimal traffic at any time.Also enjoyed seeing the 2 painted tortoises wandering around the garden and the occasional green monkey going through.We could also easily walk along the sea front to Oistins, which wasn't clear from google maps, so that was great for going to the fish fry, and to the local bus station / stops.The house is old and tired and paint is flaking off badly in the kitchen, holes in the floorboards, and the bedrooms had no glass in the panel above the doors.We found dead cockroaches in the bathrooms most mornings (we sprayed insect killer before bed.) They came and sprayed the outside of the house whilst we were there, but it didn't fix the issue.Worst thing was actually on the checkout day, we woke up to some noises in the house at 9am, so I went to investigate in just my shorts and the cleaners had let themselves in and were wandering around the house. No privacy. No knock. No warning. Checkout was 11am, so NO reason or expectation for anyone else to have been in the house at all. I asked them to leave, but they just said "it's ok, we'll stay" on the porch - right outside our bedroom window.It was very disconcerting to come out of the bedroom and find a random person in the house! and see that the front and back doors were wide open!Checkout process gets 0*. Cockroaches 1* (as they did try to deal with it.)
