Positive: The hosts, Giuseppe and Domenica, were incredibly warm and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Not only did they meet us at the apartment when we arrived, but they were also kind enough to let us check in earlier than expected, which was a huge relief after a long journey. The apartment is ideally situated just a few minutes’ walk from the main street. It’s far enough to be quiet and relaxing, but close enough to reach all the sights, shops, and restaurants. Plus, it’s just around the corner from the only supermarket I could find, which was really convenient. The apartment itself is a true gem - spacious, modern, and meticulously clean. The moment I walked in, I could tell that Giuseppe and Domenica take great pride in maintaining the property. The living/dining areas are bright and airy, and have two air conditioning units, these were lifesavers in the July heat. It’s hard to overstate just how essential that cooling was, especially after long days spent exploring. The huge terrace is a highlight of the apartment. It comes with sun loungers and towels, a dining table, and even a BBQ, which we took advantage of during our stay. The outdoor shower was an unexpected bonus, perfect for rinsing off after spending time in the sun. We enjoyed many relaxing afternoons there, soaking in the views and enjoying the peace and quiet. The master bedroom is a true retreat with a large, super-comfortable bed and an air conditioning unit. It’s spacious, offering plenty of storage space and a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers. The blackout shutters on the windows were great as they kept the room dark in the mornings, allowing for a solid night’s sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and is also stocked with coffee, tea, and a selection of other basics to get you started.
Negative: If I had to pick one area for improvement, it would be the shower. It’s over the bath, and due to the bath's shape, we found it hard to use. The shower head also points in one direction, which made it a little challenging when trying to wash long hair as you have to hold it. Thankfully, the outdoor shower was a fantastic alternative and solved this issue. I’d recommend this apartment even more highly if the shower setup were a bit more convenient, but this was a minor issue in an otherwise flawless experience.
Summary: I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a peaceful yet central base
