Positive: Nice, peaceful location. The house is cosy and has pretty much everything you need for a short stay. Wonderful back yard (which sadly we didn’t use a lot due to the weather). Flawless communication with the host and thoughtful touches, e.g. a complimentary ice cream voucher. There are basic cooking supplies in the kitchen, e.g. salt and spices.
Negative: We had a few issues with the facilities: dishwasher totally doesn’t wash dishes (and they were stored dirty after the previous guests), shower leaks A LOT, some of the towels were smelly and some were seemingly unwashed after purchase (therefore leaving a lot of „dust” on bodies and dishes), there were only 3 duvets for 5 people (an issue for the kids as well as adults) and bedding was mostly dawn, which we’re all allergic to (plus it’s much too thick for our taste), there was quite a lot of old food in the kitchen. It should also be mentioned in the description that the stairs are quite dangerous! I would be scared all the time there if my kids were younger. However, all in all, if those things are changed, it will be a very nice, comfortable place to stay.
Summary: A nice and cosy place to stay if you don’t mind small inconveniences.
