Located so close to the epicentre of surf culture, Surf City Plaza, the mood here is simultaneously relaxed and fun-loving, a nod to the chill vibe that makes the Surf Coast such a special place to be. The cornerstone of surf style is the BBQ pavilion and pizza oven in the backyard, complete with Smart TV and drinks fridge. Hidden in a sea of green, the giant birds of paradise, bamboo grove and palms reveal a secret ‘sunken lounge’ and fishpond, giving the space an undeniably cool atmosphere. Kids will love the lawn, trampoline, basketball ring, cubby house, slide and sandpit – Ahoy!
Unique and character-filled, the California boho style blends the Palm Springs aesthetic with coastal cool. Wonder at the shades of blue, in as many moods of the sea and sky. With the soft greens of the valley and the view of the water as backdrops, this home embraces its surroundings.
Beachy blonde hardwood floors meet soaring ceilings, while black sheer curtains diffuse the natural light. Cosy up on the couch by the gas log fire and watch movies (Smart TV – Netflix connectivity), with split system heating-cooling for year-round comfort. A panoramic window frames a slice of the glorious valley view and invites the landscape inside, and bifold doors open onto the sun-drenched north alfresco for a scenic brunch or happy hour.
Please note, the oven is currently out of order at this property, however there is an air-fryer available instead. There is a Nespresso coffee pod machine – to enjoy a hot beverage with doors opening onto the south balcony. The whole family will love sharing meals at the beautiful timber dining table, and the kids will love retreating to the enclosed patio/sunroom for a movie on the projector screen (BYO mobile device to connect).
Downstairs, the multipurpose rumpus room offers a desk for ‘workation’ holidays, a Smart TV (Netflix connectivity) and a selection of kids toys and games. The laundry has a washing machine and clothes dryer for guests use.
Designed to accommodate up to 6 guests, all beds are beautifully appointed with hotel quality sheets and bath towels, and all rooms have ceiling fans and wall heaters. Please BYO beach towels. The master bedroom has a Queen bed, TV (free to air only), walk-in robe, ensuite and French doors to the garden deck. Two further bedrooms are comprised of a Double bed and King Single bunk beds. The family bathroom has a shower, bath and toilet, plus a separate guest powder room upstairs (3 toilets in total).

Beaches - Our beautiful local beaches start 1.4km away. Torquay Main Beach offers family friendly swimming, surfing, and walking and is patrolled in summer months. Cosy Corner and Fisho’s are very gentle front beach options. Bells Beach, Winki Pop and Jan Juc beaches are for more experienced swimmers and surfers.
Spring Creek caters to fishing, swimming, SUPing, kayaking.
The house is situated 500m from Surf City Plaza, 1.7km from main Gilbert St shopping precinct, with plenty of cafes and restaurants locally, with many more restaurants, wineries, breweries around the region.
Adventure Park is a great day out with the kids - just 40 mins drive away.
Getting Around:
Our beach house is within walking and bike riding distance to beaches, parks and shops. The garage is locked, but parking is available on the driveway and on the street. 2 cars maximum per stay.
Closest train station 30km away (Waurn Ponds station) for V/Line train Geelong- Melbourne.
Torquay is 1 hour 30 mins by car from Melbourne.
