Positive: Luciana has a beautiful apartment only a block away from Sassi Matera. With the help of her chatgpt translate we had no problems communicating and she was full of suggestions including recommending a great restaurant on her lane. And finally, she served us the most delectable breakfast of sweets and savories with the best coffee. We wanted to stay one more night but sadly for us she was booked.
Negative: It was the celebration of patron Saint Eustus bringing lots of people to celebrate so parking was at its worst, but Luciana walked us to a preferred free parking area. It took awhile of circling to find a spot and eventually we did.So yes the parking can be difficult.
Summary: Great stay in a very interesting town.
