Casa Vista is an adobe style, 3300 square foot, west facing villa overlooking Lake Okanagan. The view of the lake and the mountains beyond is absolutely breathtaking. The private hot tub is a great place to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets over the lake and mountains. Casa Vista is designed to take full advantage of the setting. The house is not shared with any other guests or owners. The pool and hot tub are not shared and are private. The heated pool is 32 feet by 16 feet and 3 feet to 7 1/2 feet deep. The pool is open from May 16th until September 30th. There are lounge chairs, table and chairs at the pool area. Life jackets for little ones provided. There is a covered cabana with a small fridge and barbeque. Plastic dishes for the pool area are provided and are in a bin by the fridge. The main level is all glass on the west side. As a result, the kitchen/dining/living open concept main area, as well as the master bedroom, all have fabulous views. A spacious wrap around deck runs the whole west side of the house and is a lovely place for cocktail hour. The lower walkout level also features lake views from the entertainment room and each of the two bedrooms.

Location: The home is located in an area of orchards, vineyards and forest just above the charming village of Okanagan Center. The Kelowna International Airport is only fifteen minutes away. Car rental available at this airport. Closer still is the town of Winfield, where you can find IGA and Save On grocery stores, liquor stores, pharmacies, and other daily needs. Right at the end of the driveway there is a path which leads straight down to Okanagan Lake. It is a 10 minute walk down to the lake. It is a bit steep but is maintained and packed down. At the lake there is a beautiful path running through the trees all along the shoreline. There are also two cafes where you can stop for refreshments, have lunch, ice cream cones and rent kayaks and paddle boards.
The area is called Lake Country because it includes four beautiful lakes. Okanagan Lake, Kalamalka Lake, Wood Lake and Duck Lake. Casa Vista overlooks Okanagan Lake. Each offers its own attractions for example there is a lovely sandy beach at the south end of Wood Lake which is a 10 minute drive from the house. There is also a Rail Trail which runs along the East side of Wood Lake and is a beautiful walking and biking trail. The resort city of Kelowna, 25 minutes to the south, boasts fabulous restaurants, shops and entertainment. Lake Country is a District Municipality with a population of approximately 12,000 in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada. The city of Kelowna lies to the south, while the city of Vernon lies to the north. As its name suggests, there are a number of lakes in the vicinity of Lake Country, and outside the municipal boundaries in the hills to the east. Okanagan Lake acts as the western boundary of the municipality, while the entirety of Wood Lake and the southern-most portion of Kalamalka Lake are encompassed by it.
In the winter, the ski resorts of Big White and Silverstar are both only 45 minutes away.
The Okanagan is renowned for its numerous outstanding wineries. One of the best, Gray Monk, is just down the road from Casa Vista.
For boaters you will be pleased that there is a Safe Harbour for launching your boat only 5 minutes from the house. It is in Okanagan Centre. There is plenty of room beside the house to park a boat.
Maximum of 8 people at the house at anytime as we are on municipal sewer and anymore than 8 people is too hard on our system. This is strictly enforced. If there are more than 8 people at the house you will be asked to leave and there will be no refund. Sorry you are not allowed visitors even if they are not staying overnight.
