The space
You could not ask for a better location when visiting Edinburgh. You will have constant views of the Castle from your living room, kitchen and bedroom. The city’s top attractions, along with plentiful cafes, restaurants, bars and theatres are all close by.
The Websters Land apartment is accessed on street level through a secure gate, once through the gate the full view of the Castle will open up in front of you. Go down twelve steps and then along to the apartment, where you can go straight indoors, or take in the view whilst sitting outside, enjoying the peace and quiet of the courtyard.
Whether you are visiting for a holiday, work or study, you'll have a comfortable stay and can remain connected with high speed WiFi throughout the apartment. Many of our guests have highlighted that the apartment is very spacious, with stunning views.
You will have full use of a large living room with a comfortable sofa; solid oak futon (which converts into a comfortable double bed for a 3rd guest); SMART 43" TV; dining table and chairs, and bookshelf with books about Scotland. The living room has a door, which provides for a private and separate bedroom/workspace.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with a breakfast table and chairs; kettle; Cafetiere coffee maker; toaster; oven; hob; microwave; fridge/freezer; washing machine; kitchen utensils; along with tea, coffee and some Scottish shortbread.
The large bedroom has a king-size bed; plentiful wardrobe/cupboard space; comfortable armchair and desk for working.
The bathroom has a shower; towel warmer and heated mirror.
A hair dryer; iron; ironing board; and electric clothes airer are all provided, as are bedding and towels.
For guests travelling with children, there is adequate space for a travel cot (provided) in the bedroom, we also have a highchair and there are games/books for a range of ages.
Outside there is a balcony with table and chairs for you to relax and take in the magnificent view of Edinburgh Castle with your morning coffee or an evening dram of whisky!
The Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle can easily be reached from the apartment. Top attractions on the Royal Mile include the Whisky Heritage Centre; Camera Obscura; Holyrood Palace and Holyrood Parliament. Just off the Royal Mile there is the National Museum of Scotland; National Galleries; and Princes Street/Gardens. The city’s main theatres are a short walk away: Usher Hall; Traverse Theatre; Royal Lyceum, along with the Festival Hub and Fringe Box Office. Edinburgh University and International Conference Centre are also a short walk away. During Edinburgh’s main festivals (summer and Hogmany/New Year) you will be able to see the fireworks from the Castle - sit outside the apartment and enjoy this unique spectacle.
