Positive: Location (near town and not far from ski station), traditional alps chalet (cozy, quiet, and comfortable), garage (nice to have a protected parking location for rental car)
Negative: It’s extreme to ‘say’ I disliked the following about the property, but these are aspects of to be mindful: 1. Large security deposit required, my fault for not understanding what may very well be standard policy for the location. I initially thought the requirement was a scam since the transaction seemed separate from Booking.com website. Customer service and the property manager were quick to answer my questions and provide peace of mind. 2. While I appreciated the garage parking, my spot was the furthest to the right—adjacent to a rock wall with an incline down from the road—which made entering and exiting tricky especially with snow. I was in a modestly-sized AWD hatchback—a larger vehicle would not have fit. 3. The shower is tight and the position of the spigot lends itself to water escaping on to the floor. 4. I was unable to figure out the towel heater. This very well could have been my fault for not knowing how to use it rather than it breaking. 5. The oven was not intuitive/easy to use. Again, this is quite possibly due to my lack of sophistication/understanding of European appliances.
