Escape to Casita Lago - a beautiful 1946 two-bedroom, one bathroom cozy home with lots of character including a lovely wood stove (fall/winter use only), deck, enclosed front and back yards and an upstairs loft area. A ten-minute drive to Lake Cowichan and a two-minute walk to the lake, this home is an ideal getaway. Fast, reliable internet is good for online work and streaming. A propane BBQ is for summer enjoyment (you may need to exchange/refill canisters at the local General Store or in town). Note that the woodstove is not available during high fire risk summers. Swimming at Lily Beach is enjoyable - a two minute walk. There is a children’s park two blocks away and public tennis courts. A public beach with lawn area is just off Wall St. - a 2 minute walk across South Shore. The beaches are not entirely sandy like ocean beaches - they can be some rocky areas. There are lawns to recline or throw down a towel, mat or chair. Beautiful Bear Lake is located 5k away with wooden docks, a boat launch, and enclosed swimming area. Enjoy warm weather concerts, water activities and summer relaxing - or a peaceful off-season getaway from city busyness. Please no loud parties or open fires. Absolutely no firearms. Please note- Hydro and VRBO fees are not included in the daily rate of $60CAD. The guest covers electricity costs for the baseboard heat/cooling pump.
