A modern, cozy and relaxing mountain cabin in an elite neighborhood of Wrightwood. Located on a private road with parking for 2 cars on the premise. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath that can fit 4 guests comfortably. Steps away from Acorn Trail and Pacific Crest Trail. 3 miles away is Mt High Ski Resort and only a few minutes from the downtown area with lots of shops and dining.
Always check the weather, you must have 4x4 & snow cables when it is snowing. Road can be icy!
The space
Welcome to The Acorn Nest! This charming cabin is such a retreat. Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck surrounded by trees. High Speed Fiber Optic Wifi available throughout the cabin and enjoy streaming Disney+ Movies and Hulu. It has a full kitchen and a fire place. The cabin is in a special neighborhood in Wrightwood on a private road in a corner lot and just a few steps to hiking trails. A short drive to Mt High Resort and catch up with some friends in town for some pizza or beer is just minutes away.
This property sits high up on the mountain on Acorn Road. No Refunds will be given due to extreme weather, interruption of electrical connectivity service. Four-wheel drive is recommended. All wheel drive/front wheel drive is the *minimum* for your safety. I highly discourage rear wheel drive vehicles and cas with low clearance. Additionally, electric cars are not recommended as with the cold temperatures, the battery depletes more quickly than you expect.

No Washer/Dryer/Dishwasher at the moment.
My family and I are all coffee lovers!
Nespresso machine is provided for espresso lovers, one original pod per guest (up to 4 guest) per day. You're welcome to bring your own as well.
There is also a french press and coffee maker.
The front fill coffee maker is programmable, has a reusable cone filter with handle makes it easy to dispose of messy grounds and maximizes coffee flavor. You're always welcome to bring your favorite coffee.
After use: Please clean up after yourself.
CLEANING FEE: Does not include dishwashing or unreasonable mess. Please wash and dry and put all the dishes away where you found them. We would really appreciate that very much.
There is a camera at the entrance, back of the cabin and right around the cabin for your security and to ensure compliance.
Again, absolutely NO PARTIES and unnecessary noise. Please respect that we have full time neighbors around us and on a higher part of the mountain that everything echoes throughout the area.
NO MORE THAN TWO CARS PARKED at all times! We are in a private neighborhood part of the area - STRICTLY RESIDENTS PARKING ONLY.
Minut Smart Home Monitoring is installed inside the cabin to monitor noise, motion, crowd detect and temperature monitoring to keep our neighbors happy and security and privacy for our guests.
PLEASE REPORT ANY DAMAGES immediately! I would much appreciate that than knowing later on.
The mountain weather is unpredictable, always take weather conditions and tire chain regulations seriously. 4WD will be required & snow chains.
BATHROOM: There are some extra things you could use such as some hair products, blow dryer etc in the drawer. I believe in providing towels for our guests. We also invite you all to conserve water and energy by reusing your towels. Shower, turn the knob slightly to the right and wait until water gets hot.
BBQ Grill: We also love to grill. You're welcome to use any of the grills, just clean them after use. We do not provide the charcoals. Propane tank is available. Place the cover back when done.
FIREPLACE: Please do not leave it unattended, make sure the fire is out before leaving the room/cabin or before checking out.
Enjoy 50" and 43" HDTV w/ DISNEY+ AND HULU, they're there for entertaining. Bedroom1: There is a small tv in the wooden cabinet with DVD player, enjoy some old school movies provided. We've also provided some books, magazines and some board games for the whole family to enjoy.
DINING: French door will remain closed. To close, just lift the handle up.
The Acorn Nest is a truly a wonderful and charming getaway cabin, we would love to share this cabin to all of our friends and family and everyone who will respect and love it the way we appreciate it. We plan on expanding it in the future so we can accommodate more guests and have a game room where we can gather and enjoy each other. It is a diamond in the woods!
