2 Bedroom Cottage in Barichara
Located in the countryside of Barichara, 4,5 Km from the town, 10 Km from San Gil (known for its adventure sports), and close to many country walks and rides, this 2 bedroomed traditional clay and stone cottage has been lovingly restored by us, Santiago y Natalia. We came from Bogota, several years ago, and now have a bakery-pastry shop in Barichara and take good care of our guests.
It is the perfect holiday home in which to experience the local culture, enjoy the countryside and walks, and explore the region.
The lounge and open plan kitchen/dining are on ground floor and every room has colonial windows to the surroundings. American kitchen and patio diner with table and 4 chairs.
Fully equipped kitchen with 4-ring gas hob, gas oven, dishwasher, moka pot, toaster, fridge/freezer and gas barbecue in the garden.
Porche leads to the Master Bedroom and second double bedroom, family bathroom and kitchen.
Bedroom 1 with double bed
Bedroom 2 with twin beds you may set as a double bed or two separate.
Bathroom 1 double washbasin, toilet, outdoor shower garden.
The garden is on the front, surrounded by mangoes and native trees, has a covered sitting area where you can read or just contemplate, or eat alfresco. On the evenings we recommend to lay on the patio and enjoy the clear skys of Barichara.
NOTES ON ACCOMMODATION
There is free wi-fi connection.
The cottage is on contryside, a car is recommended. Anyway on town is easy and close to go by mototaxi (tuktuk), we may reccomend several drivers, or by bike. To go walkin takes about 1h.
CLAEANING
The villa is prepared for your arrival and the final clean is included. A midstay clean is included for stays of 7 nights or more.

There are rural walks on indigean trails all around the Provincia Guanentina.
In the region you may practice adventure sports like rafting, hydrospeed, paragliding, caving. You will have a Mapa de Pueblo, a map showing Barichara and surroundings.
There is a gas station and an minimarket where you can buy your basics. There are several tipic restaurants close by on the main road.
There are many walking and riding bike trails on the region.
The name Barichara comes from the Guane dialect that means “place for rest”. Nowdays is a peaceful and quiet town, where you may enyoy wellness activities, and is renowned for the craftsmanship in rock sculpting, earth construction, and being home for a community of artists.
Barichara is known as the “most beautifull village” in Colombia, with cafés, restaurants, banks, and other facilities. It is 4 Km away. The town is sitten on face of the majestic mountains of Serranía de Los Yariguíes, also called Serranía de Los Cobardes.
