Positive: We were greeted with a delicious bottle of champagne upon arrival at the cottage, and the host was there to welcome us personally. Communication was excellent throughout. The location is perfect for visiting various attractions and within walking distance of many restaurants, cafés, and champagne houses. We booked a tour with the owner of Lemaire himself, and it was outstanding — definitely not to be missed! The tour included a champagne tasting, and the champagne was a delightful discovery. We will definitely return. Very professional and friendly; we were welcomed into the cellars and saw the staff at work. It was a personal experience, very different from the commercial champagne houses. As for the cottage, it’s ideal for a family stay — we were with four adult children. There’s parking for two cars on the property, which is perfect if you’ve bought champagne, as the gate closes and no one can access the parking area. Lovely garden with sun from all sides, perfect for enjoying an aperitif outdoors. Everything you need is provided. Beautiful bedrooms with comfortable beds and charming decoration. One small downside: there’s no toilet upstairs — something to consider investing in. Apparently, we were among the first guests. A small suggestion: perhaps consider moving the living area to where the dining table is now. It would be more enjoyable to have a cheese platter or champagne tasting in the kitchen area. We truly enjoyed our stay
