Located in a charming mountainous town of Southfield, this custom built two story home features 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 sparkling bathrooms, a stunning custom chef’s kitchen and beautifully landscaped ground with outdoor shower.
The home was designed and built to help immerse one in the forest - with barn owls and coyotes singing out in the night, and song birds and forest breezes serenading during the day.
The Space:
Custom built-in 2020, with a meticulous eye for detail, this show stopper home looks forward to welcoming your family and friends soon.
Starting with the chef kitchen, which is large enough to run a small restaurant, is well lit, is surrounded by windows with mountain views to the south and west and the associated breezes.
It features white oak island that seats seat 5, quartz countertops, 6-burner Fulgor gas stove, an oven/broiler, and heavy-duty hood. There is an under-mount farm sink, split Fisher Paykel dishwasher, split-side Bosch fridge, microwave, coffee station, and large pantry.
Enjoy your creations within the elegant dining space with seating for 8 at the dining table and additional seating for 5 at the kitchen island.
The living space is filled with a sectional sofa, a gas-fired fireplace, Smart TV with 5G Wifi fiber optics and is the perfect place to come and relax while you reconnect with friends and family.
There is a second living space with sofa, small TV and desk for working from home.
Make your way up the stairs where you will find the 3 spacious bedrooms and the central bathroom.
Bed layout:
Bedroom 1: one queen size bed
Bedroom 2: bunk bed, twin over twin
Bedroom 3: Queen and twin size bed
Common area: two couches in the living room sleep 3.
There are full bathrooms on the first and second floors of the house. The upstairs shower has a glass tile standing shower. The first-floor bathroom has radiant heated floors with a darling large tub with a hand-held shower wand. Additionally, there is a large outdoor shower with a rain shower head.
Behind the pantry on the first floor is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.
Throughout the house, you’ll find floors and timber framing that are from trees milled on the property. The standing seam metal roof makes rain showers sound magical.
Outdoors:

Wide-open fields surround the house. There is a working farm as well as vegetable and herb gardens. The yard has an electric fence to keep the farm animals in and predators out but otherwise is wide open fields and forests. There is a propane-fired grill and space for dining under the stars.
There are chickens down near the large garden, offering fresh eggs each day, and there are goats cycling through the meadows; all are delightful company!
The house is surrounded by dense hardwood forest and offers stunning views of mountains to the south and the west. The vegetable garden is planted mostly with herbs, to help with fresh cooking, and there is a small orchard with heirloom apples, next to a watermelon and pumpkin garden. There are thousands of feet of stone walls and miles of hiking and biking trails - all made by hand by the homeowner.
Up to 6 cars can park at the house!

Guest Access:

Other Things to Note:
RENTAL AGREEMENT: We will send you a rental agreement within 6 hours of booking. This is due within 24 hours or we have the right to cancel this booking with a 15% cancellation fee!
PET FEE: $50 additional cleaning fee for each pet due at time of booking, up to 2 dogs.
Part of the agreement:
In respect to our recently built home, please review and accept our rental agreement. Fines will be assessed, sometimes over your security, if you do not abide by the following rules:
-No additional guests without host approval
-No parties. Fines assessed for additional cleaning, trash removal and property damage. A party is grounds for termination of stay and immediate removal with no refund.
-Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside within 50ft or near a window.
-Pets allowed with approval before arrival and subject to a pet fee of $50 per dog, up to two dogs allowed.
-No sublet, and no packages may be sent to the house without host approval.
-No refunds to be given for shortened stays and for any cable, internet, WI-FI, heating, cooling, or power outages or other acts of nature.
If you are booking through VRBO: You agree that The Host will charge your card for the full payment of the stay 24 hours after booking. Any payments by VRBO (service fees) will be charged separately.
Damage: Your rental includes an accidental reported damage waiver fee up to a maximum of $800. The cost to repair any accidental and reported damage to the rented property including any missing or broken items up to a maximum of $800 will be covered at no charge to you as long the damage is reported to your Host before you depart.
