Modern-MidCentury Apartment at The Grand Escape! A warm and inviting space, perfect for the casual business traveler or anyone looking to enjoy a pleasent stay in Wichita. The apartment is stocked with basic necessities to accomodate the needs of a variety of guests. Conveniently located near McConnell AFB, Spirit and Beechcraft, and a short drive to shopping and dining. Features: 1 Queen bed, Full Kitchen, Private parking and separate entrance from the Main House (booked separatly)
The space
This is a garage apartment that has an adjoining interior door with the Main House (also an Airbnb rental). The adjoining door is locked for the safety and security of both spaces but you may hear the other guests from time to time. This space may not be suitable for tall guests as it has a lower than normal ceiling in the bathroom.
Guest access
Parking is available for 1 vehicle on the left side of the driveway near the stairs. The righ side is reserved for guests in the King Suite (Main House).

Summary: Going in we knew it was an apartment over a garage but what you can’t tell from the pictures is the bathroom is set up for very short people because of the sloped ceding. The mirror is so low you literally have to on your knees to use it to shave or put on makeup. The most disappointing aspect was the bed. It is a foam type bed that slopes into the middle and was so uncomfortable that my wife slept on the couch and we both woke up with bad backs. If there are children in the party who are staying in the main house, be aware you hear all of the running down the hallway and loud noises when you are in the bedroom. This was our first experience with vrbo and it may be our last. We had to go to a hotel for the rest of our stay so paid for two separate accommodations over a four day weekend.
