Summary: Had to walk a long way to office to collect keys, not ready at 2pm, check in staff not pleasant, when received walked back to villa but had been given wrong keys. No one to explain workings of anything in villa, no info pack. We had never stayed in a property before where you are not met at the property with someone to explain the workings etc. Only 1 set of keys. Bedding was old, bleached stained, mis matched colours: purple pillowslip, blue sheet, no under pillows. Had electricity cut, couldn’t find fuse box, even when the electrician arrived after two calls, he struggled to find it, it was hidden behind a large wall picture. The wardrobe doors, particularly in twin room were almost impossible to open, off rollers. Cupboards and drawers in property full of (owners) stuff. A stray black haired cat resides on balcony & the cushion covers had cat hair left on them. The kitchen sink doesn’t drain well, needs sorting. The property has no air con and gets incredibly hot, it is difficult to leave windows/doors open for air as the property is surrounded by vegetation and suffers badly from mosquitoes. The property had not been cleaned very well. Particularly around the windows, shutters, inside wardrobes, under & behind beds …. very dusty. We had paid a substantial cleaning cost so expected better. We would welcome feedback from Vrbo as this is not to the standard we have come to expect.
