Summary: To get new towels, you have to scan a QR code and provide your room number, after which you receive a confirmation. Apparently, this system doesn’t always work, even after receiving the confirmation, and the staff were not very helpful in resolving the issue. You were then expected to collect the towels yourself, even though it clearly wasn’t your fault. It also seems that remarks may be made, as nothing was asked at checkout about whether my stay was satisfactory. All in all, a rather unusual experience.
