The cottage also boasts its own secluded 12 acres of land just walking distance away, with slipway and hut on the shore of Ballynakill Harbour. This is a perfect location to enjoy some kayaking and sailing. The popular walking trails at Connemara National Park can be reached within 10-minutes by car, and Kylemore Abbey and gardens within 15-minutes. A trek up Diamond Hill will offer breath-taking panoramic views of the surrounding coastline, mountains, and countryside. The many networks of lakes and rivers in the region offer ample opportunities for trout and salmon fishing. Ross beach at Moyard is 5km from the cottage, or a ten-minute drive. A bus stop which services Clifden, Letterfrack, Galway and Westport routes is located just 250m from the property. The white sandy beaches at Renvyle, Cleggan and Claddaghduff can be reached within 15-20 minutes by car, and include Omey beach, Sallerna beach, White strand and Lettergesh beach. The adjoining utility room houses a washing machine and dryer.
