The Space:
The famed Mission Dolores Park, which is the vibrant heart of this culturally diverse neighborhood, is a block away. The unit is the lower level of a newly restored 100 year old townhouse in a tiny quiet alley.
Immediately surrounding our neighborhood, and well within a few blocks, are other well- known neighborhoods, each with their own distinctive characteristics; The Mission, The Castro (aka Eureka Valley), Noe Valley, Duboce Triangle, and Hayes Valley.
We have a full bedroom suite with a queen size bed, dresser, closet, and make-up area, plus a separate den/living area with a queen size hide-a-bed couch. There is a well equipped bar/kitchenette with table and chairs, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, coffee maker, and eating utensils. The bathroom is includes a shower, vanity, and toiletries. The apartment has two flat-screen TV's with full cable and internet service, a separate/private entry, and a small patio.

The Neighborhood:
Two coffee shops and a laundromat are around the corner (Maxfields, Morning Due, and Stars). The neighborhood is filled with some of San Francisco's finest foods, all within walking distance. The restaurants begin with Delfina (and their pizzeria), Farina, Limon Rotisserie, Foreign Cinema, La Taqueria, Tartine bakery, and Dandelion Chocolate, and many, many more. The neighborhood is also known for great food exploration and small specialty food establishments with numerous Mexican, Central/South American, Italian,
French, Basque, Ethiopian, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Sushi, Indian, Vegan, even American, and other fare, not to mention some of the best nightlife and bars as well.The most amazing grocery store in the city is two just blocks away, Bi-Rite Grocery, which also has the best take-out in town, perfect for Dolores Park picnics. And Bi-Rite Creamery has ice cream to swoon over, just across the street. The neighborhood also boasts a new Whole Foods Grocery, with Walgreens, Starbucks, and Safeway, nearby.
Getting Around:
Transportation to anywhere in the city or the Bay Area is truly spectacular. MUNI's trolley cars and buses stop a block away and a BART station is a short walk, where trains go across the Bay to Berkeley and Oakland, and to the SF airport. The neighborhood is full of bike lanes, and has some of the easiest and most beautiful walking anywhere.
