Hello guests! We look forward to hosting you in the beautiful "Sweet Suite"! Enjoy a private 3-room suite: living, bedroom & bath, in our lovely 1910 Craftsman home. Residential, centrally located NE neighborhood. Close access to public transit or walk to great shopping/food districts. Explore like a visitor, live like a local!
Some things to note:
The Sweet Suite is only available for guests who are 18 and over. No pets are allowed. Maximum stay is 7 consecutive nights.
The Sweet Suite is located on the first floor of our home, in a separate apartment. The check-in & out processes are completely contact-less, via a lock box. There is no need for in-person contact during your stay, however, we are always just a text away, if you need anything!!
The Suite does NOT have a full kitchen. It offers a coffee/tea station, a mini-fridge (for drinks/left overs, snacks, etc), a microwave and fully sanitized dish ware & silverware for each guest.
For your meals, you’ll have the options of take out, delivery or you can certainly dine out at some of our fabulous restaurants & bars, many with spacious patio seating. There are a LOT of delicious options in town, many are close by, and they all will be delighted to have your support.
We will facilitate some housekeeping during your stay! Please place your dirty dishes (I provide dish tubs) and excess recycling/garbage in the lobby, as needed. We use the utmost hygienic care when washing and replacing your clean dishes.

Make yourself at home in your spacious suite on the 1st floor of our 1910 Craftsman, rich with character and warmth. Centrally located in one of Portland's vibrant, close-in residential neighborhoods, you'll be blocks away from restaurants, shops & parks and just 10-15 minutes from the airport and/or downtown. Your cozy, private accommodations will be the perfect landing pad to relax in during your visit!
You will enter through the front door, and once inside the entry lobby, you'll use the French doors on the LEFT to access your suite. Your living room has soothing earth tone faux finish walls, hardwood floors, cove ceiling, bay window, table for 2 and comfy furnishings including a couch that folds out to a full-sized bed (for up to 2 more guests, extra charge). Enjoy your kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, electric water kettle and basic kitchenware. The 55” Smart TV is hooked up to our wifi network and comes loaded with several streaming platforms, such as Netflix & Hulu. Sit by the window or on the front porch and admire the front gardens, do the crossword puzzle with a cup of tea & conjure up your plans for the day.
Through a second set of stained glass French doors, you'll find the bedroom: hardwood floors, bay window, box beam ceiling, comfy chair & 1/2 and your queen sized bed with awesome Nectar brand mattress & natural bedding.
The 3rd room in the suite is your lovely private bathroom, with stained glass window, rain shower head, tiled counter and Multi-Pure water filter. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap are provided, as well as a blow dryer.
Guest access
After booking you'll be given the code to a lock box on the porch that'll contain your key. The key unlocks the front door of the house (which we also use), leading in to the entry lobby where you'll find the double doors to your private 3-room suite, on the LEFT. The fully furnished south end of the furnished front porch is all yours to enjoy! The rest of the house & the backyard is our living space and will be off limits to guests. Street parking is usually available right out front but if not, there should be plenty of parking within a one block radius.
Other things to note
The Sweet Suite is only available for guests who are 18 and over. Our home is LGBT & 420 friendly! Feel free to enjoy Portland's recreational marijuana laws inside the suite or on the front porch however. IMPORTANT: There is absolutely no tobacco smoke allowed of any kind inside the Suite!
There is no kitchen sink in the suite so we ask our guests to let us do the dishes! Just set them out (in white tubs provided) on the brown side table in the lobby and we will wash and return them to the lobby, usually by the end of the day. If you're here for a longer stay or whenever the need arises, feel free to drop your trash in to the black trash can in the entry and/or put your recycling out and we’ll take care of it! You'll find extra liners for the Suite's small trash cans, located on the bottom shelf of kitchenette and under bathroom sink.
We hope that you will find your accommodations spacious, charming and rich with history & character, BUT our house is over 100 years old and with that comes some quirks. The wood floors and stairs squeak quite a bit and common noises like louder voices, footsteps, shutting doors and music will carry through in a muffled way, much like living in an old apartment building. Quiet hours are from midnight - 8am. We want our guests to feel free to be themselves and to not be conscious about their noise level during active hours (within reason, of course!) and we will do the same. If you are sensitive to sound or a light sleeper, this environment might not be the right fit for you.
