This suite, in an 1800s antique home, has sparkling hardwood floors, a modern, fully appointed kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, microwave, full sized fridge, and cookware, dishes, and flatware to make your stay comfortable and convenient. The private, full bath has a tub/shower, towels, soap, shampoo, and hair dryer. Take the narrow, steep, historic stairs up one flight to the sunny bedroom with plenty of storage, a double bed with soft linens,desk, chair, ceiling fan, and air-conditioning. It's a 3-5 minute walk to the #35, 36, or 52 buses to Forest Hills MBTA subway Orange Line station or Newton and Watertown. Or take a 15 minute walk to the West Roxbury commuter train station, on the Purple Line, for a 20 minute ride to Back Bay Station in downtown Boston, or 25 minute ride to South Station Amtrak, or transfer to Boston Logan Airport. It's a 10 minute walk to the VA Medical Center W Rox Campus, a 15 minute drive to Boston College, a 20 minute ride to the Boston Longwood Medical area, or Fenway Park. Spend the day downtown, then retreat to the residential quiet at night. Our neighborhood abuts Roslindale, and Jamaica Plain, and the towns of Newton, Chestnut Hill, Brookline, and Dedham. There are many restaurants, taverns, bakers, a YMCA, Planet Fitness, and shops nearby. Dunkin's is just a 4 minute walk for coffee if you don't want to make your own. Pizza and pasta are also less than a 5 minute walk. A major supermarket and Starbucks are a 10 minute walk. Drive to the lovely Arnold Arboretum owned by Harvard University in just 10 minutes. Stroll from your door to Millennium Park, or Riverdale Park along the Charles River in Dedham. Take a 35 minute drive to a city beach, or an hour drive to white sand Plymouth beaches and quaint sightseeing. Drive on to Cape Cod, or take a ferry from downtown Boston to Provincetown. Stay for a while and drive to Portland Maine in about 2 hours, or take the scenic train in 3.5. The White Mountains in New Hampshire are 3 hours away. Providence RI is 50 minutes. There's a lot to explore in the area, and this is a perfect home base from which to venture out to all of Boston and surrounding communities!
