Positive: The Glan Gwna park is in a great location with ample free parking.
Negative: The lodge needs a good deep clean and refurb. The fridge door is broken so nowhere to put 2 litre milk cartons. There is no freezer compartment so forget your G&T on the rocks. The cutlery is a collection of random knives and forks and there was only 1 teaspoon. The 2 settees in the lounge are well beyond their best and it feels like you are sitting on the floor. The main bedroom is very small with just about enough room to walk around the double bed. The bedroom furniture is old and nothing matches. There is no gate outside the back (as was advertised) so there was nowhere for us to let the dog out safely. I have no idea why the lodge is stated as 'Dog Friendly'. Access to the lodge is up very steep steps and not suitable for those with mobility issues. The wood decking has been poorly patch-repaired and in a poor state of maintenance and dirty. There are 4 planters on the decking that only have dandelion weeds in them. The patio windows have not been cleaned for some time in our opinion. The overall outside area needs a good clean. The electricity meter is located in a corner about 12 inches off the floor and is very difficult to read unless you crouch down on all fours. The toilet lid does not stay up and the bathroom door fouls on the seat so can not be opened fully. The shower power and light pull cords are black with dirt/germs and need replacing. There is no guest information book with instructions for appliances etc. There is a bottle opener mounted on the wall by the main kitchen door that is broken and serves no purpose. There was no chopping board.
Summary: Good location but disappointing lodge needs attention & TLC.
