The chalet is located on the charming Zeeuws Genieten mini-campsite, amidst the expansive polders of Waarde, at the narrowest point of South Beveland. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by Iris and Lau, who not only run a campsite and eatery but also manage a thriving fruit farming business. Farmer Lau is happy to share his passion for growing the finest strawberries, cherries, raspberries, and plums. In Iris's eatery, you can not only enjoy the harvest but also a variety of other tasty treats.
The mini-campsite is extremely child-friendly and offers numerous activities for young adventurers. From a tour by Farmer Lau, helping in the vegetable garden to collecting eggs in the chicken coop; fun is guaranteed. A playground and extensive outdoor space invite plenty of outdoor play. In the animal enclosure, children (under adult supervision) can cuddle, pet, and help feed the animals.
Enjoy the Zeeland life at Iris's, where an extensive lunch, homemade cake, platters of snacks, and high tea are within easy reach. In the eatery "Zeeuws Genieten at Iris's," Iris and her team will let you indulge in a rich variety of treats. Seasonal products from the region, vegetables and herbs from their own garden, and of course, fresh fruit, form the basis. In fine weather, the terrace awaits, while on less sunny days, you can enjoy by the crackling wood stove indoors.
