Positive: This is a very special, remote place. In front of us is the open sea, the Cretan wind is blowing, you can see the Milky Way, and you can still feel nature here. At the same time, you can stay in a very comfortable, completely modernized, clean house. In the huge outdoor area belonging to the house, you can sunbathe, cool off in the pool, barbecue, lie in the hammock, or do nothing at all. In 3 minutes, you can walk to a very beautiful, quiet beach, where there are even private sun loungers. The area is full of beautiful sights - gorges, beaches, monasteries, etc. Of course, you need a car, and it's worth shopping in advance, but it's no tragedy if you don't arrive with a week's worth of food. There's a restaurant at Preveli Beach within 5 minutes, a good local restaurant at the bridge within 10-12 minutes, and a shop in a nearby village. There was also a great little "hippie-style" snack bar and drinks cart on the beach all day until late in the evening. P.S.: The roads in southern Crete are not for the faint-hearted (but you can easily get used to them). Perhaps that is why it has not yet been overrun by mass tourism. Let's hope it stays that way.
