Edgewood - Beautiful, custom built home crafted entirely by your host, a skilled cabinet maker and builder. Wow - in addition to the home itself, he also built the cabinets and even the furniture. This home is tucked away on a quiet country road in a lovely wooded setting, just minutes from the Cooperstown Dreams Park and downtown Cooperstown. There is a large front yard perfect for outdoor activities like cornhole and ladder golf or even a family game of wiffleball.
Inside you enjoy an open floor plan. The 1st floor features beautiful kitchen featuring handmade cabinetry, dining area, living room, laundry room and recently renovated bathroom. Upstairs you'll find 5 bedrooms with TVs and 2 additional bathrooms with combo tub/shower.
From the rear covered porch you will overlook a lovely spring fed pond, full of frogs. There is a fire pit in the backyard, perfect for family campfires. Enjoy star gazing on those beautiful upstate New York summer nights. You'll be sure to relax and decompress while at Edgewood. The frantic pace of everyday life and even baseball will feel very distant when you are here.

Summary: This place is a gem! Mary and Jon have created the perfect space for friends and families to gather. We loved the open floor plan that allowed our large group to be comfortable and connected while preparing food, watching a slideshow on the TV, and playing a game at the long dining room table. The kitchen was a delight to work in with lots of counter space and gorgeous cabinetry and all of the amenities one could want for a cooking project including a variety of dishes, silverware, glasses, measuring utensils, pots and pans, baking pans, spices, condiments, a Keurig, a coffee maker, blender, and I think I even saw an Instant Pot. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. Mary was a delight to work with. In addition to being very responsive and answering lots of questions, she brought me onions when I mentioned needing to go to the store to get some! She was also very accommodating with the timing of when we arrived and checked out. What a delightful experience.
