Positive: Brilliant location, we were so happy to be only ten minutes walk up the sea front to the beautiful marina. Ten mins to supermkt. About half an hour to Playa Dorado. A lovely pool. Gorgeous views from the back to countryside and volcano and from the front the lights of the marina. The two bedrooms suited our group, two babies myself and my daughter. The two shower rooms also great. The kitchen is very well equipped too. We loved the fact that this property was completely enclosed at the front, so it was safe for children, it also got afternoon and evening sun which many dont.
Negative: The check in is very poor. Despite asking for the key code days before, I was not given it until we actually arrived which with two small children is very stressful. We were told to call a number on booking.com’s site which is unobtainable. All messages through their portal have to be in spanish as Carol’s English is not good. My Spanish is very bad. There is no translate button on booking.com. I used google translate to try to get check in details, in the end I asked for her direct number through the portal, i called her on whattsapp once we had arrived, she sent a photo of the key code. not a relaxing way to arrive. The pool is lovely but very cold. No cushions for sunbeds. Although we loved the afternoon sun we needed an umbrella, it was broken. Minimal toilet paper, no dishwasher tabs or detergent, just a starter pack would help, a few tea bags and a bit of milk would have been welcome. However, the property is very reasonably priced. The black plastic sofa is horrible but durable. I write as someone who does holiday letting and found the information pack useless for immediate info. No instructions about where to take the rubbish, though many separate bags. No local taxi numbers. I got one but they didnt answer. There are very few roaming around. At check out I went to get one from the stand at Rubicon commercial centre and brought him back to collect the family.
