The property benefits from being uniquely situated close to all the city centre and university amenities yet is within the vibrant village community of Upper Wolvercote with its ancient church, village hall and school, and is in close proximity to canal, river and open countryside.
Warm and cosy in the cooler seasons, the cottage provides light and airy accommodation during the summer months. There is a pretty, secluded garden for visitors to sit out in and the combination of accessibility, amenity and ambience has led to the property often been described by visitors as a hidden gem. Owned and lived in for part of the year by an academic couple, the cottage offers a perfect home from home for the discerning.
Having two double bedrooms with ample hanging and storage space, the cottage is ideal for couples, smaller families, visitors to the University or business executives working in the area. The living and dining rooms are elegantly furnished with contemporary and antique furniture, Persian rugs and original paintings and prints. You can visit its beautiful, ancient Colleges and enjoy all that it has to offer in the way of music, theatre, galleries, museums, book shops – and of course many good restaurants of all kinds. There are lots of other interesting pubs, but probably the most famous (and most studenty) is the Kings Arms, near Radcliffe Square.
