Enchanting & captivating, this is a home you'll never forget! An incredible mountaintop retreat minutes north of Nashville on 4 acres in a spectacular "underground" earth house. This villa style property was designed in homage to the beauty of the natural world. We found inspiration in the organic materials the earth generously provided for this unique space. Our hope is that our guests make deeper connections, memories and experiences that invigorate the human spirit together. Relax in style!
A magic hilltop retreat just minutes north of Nashville on 4 acres. A unique property that you will remember for the rest of your life! The property boasts three incredible dwellings that have been carefully curated for a perfect mix of nature and wonder to bring people together. Dedicated craftsmen lovingly renovated this special place for guests to retreat, gather and celebrate life. Our hope is that our guests make deeper connections, memories and experiences that invigorate the human spirit. We want our guests to find peace, slow down for some relaxation and renew their soul in this special sanctuary. Professionally designed in homage to the natural world, and inspired by the organic materials the earth generously provided for this special place.
*This property is not suitable for nervous drivers. Please do not book with us if you have a fear of steep driveways up a long hill. To access this gorgeous property you will have to drive up a typical Tennessee winding hilltop driveway. Please review pictures and make the decision for yourself. Similar to Vail, Aspen or Gatlinburg, this property is up in the hills. For inexperienced or anxious drivers, you may want to plan to make the initial drive before sundown for better visibility. The driveway has undergone extensive engineering and is now the very best in the area, but it does require focused attention and tolerance for a sharp turn. While AWD or 4WD are not required, they are a good choice, especially in the rain or winter when you may experience slippery or snowy road conditions. Sorry, but we will not refund for the driveway.
Guest access is based on the number of guests booked for the reservation.
*Please read the entire description very carefully as you are booking a property that has three separate dwellings but you will only have access to certain dwellings depending on how many guests you book for. Please carefully review the floor plans of the dwellings to understand the sleeping arrangements and book accordingly to insure that your traveling partners have the space and privacy everyone requires. Access to the individual dwellings depends entirely on the number of booked guests. No exceptions will be made as this has been clearly explained here so by booking you acknowledge and agree to the following:
The first dwelling - the main house - the “underground house” - is a beautifully remodeled subterranean house designed as a “villa” in the earth. You will have access to this space for bookings for of 1-12 guests. This is the star of the property and features 5 bedrooms (4 king beds and 2 queen beds), 3 full bathrooms (2 spa showers and one bathtub), full open concept kitchen / dining room with ample seating for 7 around a 200-inch countertop, a walk-in pantry with laundry room, wine fridge, wet bar, a dining room for 12 with a skylight to dine under the stars. This main house features a spacious living room with plenty of seating, a reading cove, and plenty of outdoor living spaces. Sleeps 10 to 12 comfortably.
The second dwelling is a quaint “cottage” apartment and is included for bookings up to 14 guests. This in-law type suite features an open living room with full kitchen and laundry, full bathroom with shower, a bedroom (queen bed). Sleeps 2. (Possibly 1 additional on the sofa). Please note that you will only get access to this space when booking for 13 to 14 guests, no exceptions.
The third dwelling is a modern “lodge” apartment and is included for bookings of 15 to 20 guests. This space features panoramic windows, with a open concept living / dining / office space, a full kitchen, full bathroom (with spa shower) and laundry. This dwelling features a primary bedroom (king bed) and secondary bedroom (off primary bedroom) that is perfect for children (twin trundle bed - sleeps 2). Sleeps 4 - 6. (Possibly 2 additional on sectional). Please note that you will only get access to this space when booking for 15 to 20 guests, no exceptions.
We do not offer refunds if less guests show up then what you have originally booked for. Additional fees will be charged for guests that come that you haven’t booked with the original reservation.
Please do NOT arrive early unless we have sent you check-in instructions and confirmed the house is ready. Arriving early is very disruptive to our cleaning schedule and you will be asked to leave and come back at 4pm. Also, due to the driveway, cars cannot pass each other so you will create a dangerous situation if people are coming down while you are coming up. We cannot stress this enough - do not arrive early - it will be awkward.
